This series welcomes sex workers who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour)
in addition to our core demographic of Asian and migrant workers.
All workshops are free to attend and include snacks!

Social meetup (Thursday June 22, 2017):
The first gathering on Thursday June 22 will be an informal social meetup and will include dinner! A loosely facilitated discussion will be led by a Butterfly member, but this space is yours to shape.
Self-marketing & branding for independent sex workers (Thursday July 6, 2017):
Finding it difficult to get yourself and your services out there? Are you unsure of how you should market yourself to your clientele? Looking to infiltrate a new demographic of clientele? Looking to branch out into other domains of sex work? Come to this workshop and learn about self-marketing and branding for workers! Snacks will be provided!
Introduction to drawing comics (Thursday July 20, 2017):
Finding other means of by-and-for worker engagement not up your alley? Come take a break from real life and hone your artistic skills in this intro to comics drawing! Comics is a fun way to combine storytelling and drawing skills. This introduction session will be a relaxed and safe space to explore stories (personal, fantasy, collaborative) in comic form. We will start off with some warm up drawing activities and learn how to make a comic as a group! Open to all levels of drawing experience. Snacks will be provided!
Immigration & law (TUESDAY August 1, 2017):
Wondering what your rights are when it comes to the intersections of sex work and immigration status? Have city inspectors, local police or even the CBSA been harassing you at your place of work? Come find out what your rights are and how to navigate the system as a migrant worker, regardless of your citizenship status. Snacks will be provided!
